• Early school leaving is an urgent, crucial and common problem among European countries. Not only for individuals but also for society.

•  The European Education Strategy 2020 aims at dealing with the problem of early school leavers by decreasing the drop out the percentage to 10 %  from the current 15.7 %. 

 

• Early school leavers are at greater risk of long-term unemployment, poverty, crime and now cost the European economy 1.25 %. Half a million qualified individuals can be provided thanks to a decrease of 1 % in giving up education early in a year.

 

• In order to reduce the drop out rates, the " No Child Left Behind Act"(2001), and the "Europe 2020" goals have been formulated in Europe. 

 

• Early school leaver students are the ones whose families are of low socioeconomic and socio-cultural status. The necessity of education is not an important issue for this kind of parent profile.

 

• Our goal is to make a contribution to reduce the early school leaving rates, enlighten perspectives of students and parents towards the necessity of education and school, to make recognition among other organizations such as local governments, non-governmental organizations, and  associations.
